Welcome to the Wesleyan WTO Simulation
The WTO Simulation is an applied exercise in which students play the role of trade ministers representing countries engaged in negotiations over international trade.  It is designed to replicate the dynamics of a WTO ministerial meeting such as the one  held in Hong Kong on December 13th, 2005.  Students must present their positions on issues as diverse as agricultural subsidies, intellectual property rights, and enviornmental treaties.

The WTO Simulation officially starts on Oct. 20, 2005.  On Nov. 29, 2005, after several rounds of negotiations. delegates unanimously agreed to support the EU-China-US Proposal.
